install_file not updated when pointing to symlink

Bug Description
I have grafana packages which I have downloaded and hosted via my own personal archive. I have several of these grafana environments which I'd like to always keep on the latest version of grafana. I try to do this via a symlink which points to the latest version of the grafana package which I upload to the archive so that I don't have to update the juju config. When changing this symlink, the charm does not try to install the new destination.

I'm not quite sure how you're using symlink here. Could you provide your juju config for grafana?
Also, would configuring the charm to use the grafana snap suite your purposes? That way the snap can keep Grafana up-to-date with the latest in whatever snap channel.
