cGmail checks mail in IMAP, then marks messages as read

I have 1 gmail account and 2 IMAP accounts registered in cgmail. When cgmail discovers new mail in the IMAP account, it displays the new mail notice, then disappears. Then, going to my mail reader (Thunderbird), I notice the emails are now marked as read.

One other thing: because the mail is marked as read, the next time cgmail checks for new messages in the IMAP account, it sees no new messages (even though they haven't been read by a human), so it removes the tray icon for new messages.

I've attached a patch to use a PEEK when fetching messages from an IMAP server. This returns the messages without changing their status from unread to read. With this change, the notification icon will continue to display until there are no unread messages.
