Bug Description
Hi, I think this is a great app. I think it would be nice to have a section under "Pinned items" that says "Recently Used Applications," with a number that is maybe adjustable in Settings. That way I can have commands or applets like the Power Preference applet that I use sometimes but isn't really something I want to "Pin."

Hi, thanks for posting this. It seems to me that this is a duplicate of bug 681446, so I'm marking it as such. If you think this is wrong, please let me know!
Now to answer your post: I have definitely considered adding a recent applications plugin before, but never got around to doing it. However, since Zeitgeist seems to be standard on most Linux distributions nowadays, I would be pretty easy to use Zeitgeist to create a plugin that shows recent and/or frequent applications.
I will give it a look at some point soon, although I can't give you a concrete timeline.
