Automatically add frequently used application to the side pane

It would be nice to have cardapio automatically add frequently used applications to the side pane. This is similar to the behaviour of the Windows 7 start menu. The user should be able to 'pin' some applications leaving the others free to by modified by cardapio.

Definitely a nice feature request!

Can't we integrate our searches with Zeitgeist for keeping history purposes? Then we could use the data to implement this feature and the "positioning a search result by how often you choose it factor".

Yes, this has been bothering me for a while, but I have had to prioritize other features and won't be able to implement it anytime soon. If anyone wants to give it a shot, go ahead :)

Just one thing, I don't think the most frequent apps should go on the sidepane. Instead, we have been meaning to remove the "side pane" altogether, leaving only the search bar, categories and control center on that side area. about the search history, i remember using deskbar applet in the past, which i think had a plugin for it:

it was pretty good, something like that would be great for cardapio
