Bug Description
As mentioned tin thsi bug:

a nicer front page and general page format would be nice.
I think that current page format is not bad, in fact quite good, and I don't want to just plug in the first replacement that looks a little glosier and looses useability.
design suggestions welcome.

It might be cute to have the latest piece of news on the front page if the format was neat enough to fit it.
Note any new design should meet acessibility standards, especially for hte visually impaired. (yes this is relevant to us)
