Bug Description

Teffania
"One thing that has been on the backburner, is the issue of baronial
OP's vs the canonlore OP, and the potential integration of the two.
Canonlore doesn't track Baronial OP's (nor should it - too much work)
so someone needs to track baronial awards, but then effort is
duplicated and people don't know they should be checking canonlore.

Also some groups want to show other details regarding a person -
photos, interests, contact details, etc along with their awards.

One quest Paul may wish to consider (or not) is ways data from
canonlore could be added to webpages automagically by just adding a
line or two of script. (eg what is there was a line I just had to
paste in an modify the person number that would add the person's
alphabet soup,?)

Krae Glas and Stormhold are both local groups who currently don't have
this sort of thing on their webpage but may be condusive to being
trial cases for any simple options you might come up with.

If you feel like it, why not provide an example of what could be
QUICKLY done for a local webpage? Or if you don't feel like it,
that's fine too. This is on this list, so that if you accept this
quest, othhers may wish to comment and help."

Further discussion from list:

Paul:
"There is a beast called an "iframe" that can be embedded into a
web-page. It's actually just a web page, so the implementation is
straightforward. This is how google calendar widgets work. One
downside is that it has to be a fixed size. Also you probably don't
want to be putting more than a few of these into a single web-page at
once, as each is a separate http request. So, say, an alphabetical
listing of group members with letter soup for each would be plausible,
but a separate iframe for each person might be a bit much.

Anything beyond that starts involving javascript magic, and significant effort."

"... actually, an iframe per person is no worse than a picture per
person (eg their arms), so maybe it would be ok."

Bat:
"I don't like iframes, for usability reasons, but this is probably an
acceptable use. I'd like to publish some kind of query API for Canon
Lore so that people can do mashups, but it's not on my radar at the
moment."
