Bug Description
OS: Ubuntu touch 15.04 OTA 10.1
Devices: all
Feature request: Scopes need general purpose location picker.
Initially I meant to file a bug against Songkick Scope because I needed it to be able to pick a location to show what gigs are playing somewhere else, rather then being limited to my current physical location.
Usecase: I am in my home in eastern Netherlands but I know I'm going to be in Amsterdam tonight. I want to see what gigs are playing there. Currently, Songkick Scope will not let me see that until I physically get to Amsterdam.
After discussing this limitation, it is clear that a lot more Scopes are hampered by this exact same issue. They can only display result for the actual physical location.
Therefore it may be more efficient to invest in developing a general location filter widget that any Scope can use.
Looking at just the current preloaded (non-aggregate) Scopes, it is clear that the following scopes could benefit from such a feature:
- Songkick
- Holidays
- The Weather Channel
- Time Out
- Transport Alert
- Yelp
From non-preloaded Scopes, these come to mind but there are many more
- Foursquare
- Places
- All weather-related scopes
etc

Interesting idea that could make make some scopes more useful. Adding Ubuntu UX project for their consideration.
