timeout search string causes exception

Bug Description

1) Launch the timeout scope (I am using com.canonical.scopes.timeout 0.4.12)

2) Enter a query string.

3) The following exception displays in /home/phablet/.cache/upstart/scope-registry.log:
[2016-04-25 13:17:18.516] ERROR: com.canonical.scopes.timeout_timeout: QueryBase::run(): unknown exception
