Bug Description

1. Launch Ubuntu Software Center.
2. In the screen for a purchasable item, click "Buy...".
3. Sign in if necessary.
4. Enter your debit or credit card details.

What happens: You have to click "Continue" on a "Credit or Debit Cards" (plural?) choice before entering the card details.

What should happen: You shouldn't need to click anything before beginning to enter the card details.

Even if Paypal payment requires a separate page or window, that's no reason for credit/debit card payment to require a separate page.

visibility: private → public

It should be possible to side-load the correct form for the selected payment method using javascript. Bonus points if any common data (eg: address) is persisted between forms if the user changes their mind half way through entering their info.

Changed in canonical-payment-service:
status: New → Confirmed
importance: Undecided → Low
tags: added: buying-software
