Bug Description
Ubuntu Software Center 5.0.1.3, Ubuntu 11.10
1. Switch to a guest session.
2. Launch Ubuntu Software Center.
3. On the screen for a purchasable item, click "Buy...".
What you see: The "New account" button is greyed out, as if it is insensitive.
What you should see: The "New Account" has high contrast, even if it's not colorful.

@mpt: Thanks for pursuing this. I discussed it further with yaili to get specific changes which we need to implement:
stuartm: I see you've updated the guidelines around grey buttons recently
stuartm: can you provide some guidance on exactly what changes we should make to the login page so that it meets your guidelines, please?
yaili: so that page is following old guidelines, we don't have grey buttons now, that we know, but we haven't defined exactly what we want instead
stuartm: there are grey buttons on the ubuntu.com download page still, btw www.ubuntu. com/download/ ubuntu/ download
stuartm: http://
yaili: so the only thing that I see wrong in that login page is that on Firefox I see square corners
yaili: yeah I know, that will change before 12.04 I think
stuartm: mpt says "What you see: The "New account" button is greyed out, as if it is insensitive. What you should see: The "New Account" has high contrast, even if it's not colorful."
stuartm: the only difference I see between the current login buttons and that download page (apart from the not-rounded corners) is that the button text is darker on the download page, but lighter on the login form
yaili: the current download page is a mess re: buttons, it's not following either old or new guidelines, or anything
yaili: so I'd say for now, add the rounded corners and make both buttons orange
stuartm: IIRC, the purpose of keeping only one button orange was to not dilute the primary action
stuartm: so you're suggesting to break that model until you come up with formal guidance?
yaili: yes
