Bug Description

When trying to sign into launchpad or one.ubuntu you get the message "OpenID transaction error" (or something like that) if you block cookies. It would be helpful for other users to add something like e.g. "Perhaps you're browser blocks cookies". It's not a major problem but it should be easy and quick to fix too.

Hello!

Thanks a lot for your report. This report does not belongs to ubuntu-sso-client since that project provides the desktop support for login in with SSO. I'm marking this as a dup of what it seems to be the issue here.

Hi,

Thanks for the bug report!

I'm removing the dup mark as it's not quite duplicate of bug #392101. That refers to the main login screen and is a feature that's already been released a couple of months ago. This bug happens during an openid transaction, and I can verify that it still happening on production.

We'll need to check if we can perform the same cookie setting test during openid auth transactions and redirect to a friendlier info page.

Changed in ubuntu-sso-client:
status: New → Invalid
Changed in canonical-identity-provider:
status: New → Confirmed
importance: Undecided → Medium
