Ubuntu One is unable to handle the request coming from app.element.io SAML!

Unfortunately, I am unable to reproduce this. I believe the error message may be very misleading, and the actual issue is that you are not an Ubuntu Member (https://ubuntu.com/community/membership). In your case, you should follow the "regular community members" instructions [1] to create a Matrix account, and then follow the instructions immediately below those under "Step 3: Join the Ubuntu space". For most purposes (possibly all, I'm not too familiar with our Matrix setup), the only difference will be that your Matrix ID will be something like moha:matrix.org instead of moha:ubuntu.com.

Please let me know if you actually are an Ubuntu Member and this status isn't properly reflected on your Launchpad account.
