Bug Description

In order to understand how to fix this issue: https://github.com/canonical/ubuntu.com/issues/13558, I am trying to read this guide: https://discourse.canonical.com/t/creating-discourse-based-documentation-pages/159. However, when I click on the link to the guide and login with my Ubuntu One account, I get an "Unable to process SAML request or attempt" error on this url: https://login.ubuntu.com/saml/process.

Same problem happens when I try to visit https://discourse.canonical.com/

Please note that I am able to login successfully on https://login.ubuntu.com/

Hi there,

While the specific error message you've gotten is confusing (and possibly caused by a bug), the discourse.canonical.com Discourse instance is internal to Canonical and so you shouldn't have access to it anyway. I've renamed this bug to reflect the unclear wording, and am leaving it open for us to discuss internally if we need to update the messaging.

I would suggest reporting a bug against the documentation you were following that led you to the internal Discourse; if you can't see a spot to report a bug, let me know where you found the link and I'll figure out how to report it internally.

Thank you for your interest in improving our documentation!

Hello Shane,

Thank you for your kind clarification.

I found the link that led me to what I now understand to be Canonical's internal Discourse from here:

https://github.com/canonical/ubuntu.com/blob/main/ARCHITECTURE.md#documentation

Specifically, the part that says "For more information, see the Creating Discourse based documentation pages guide."
