Bug Description

I'm attempting to add my preferred email address which is: <email address hidden> However I am not receiving the validation email. I have double, triple, and quadruple checked that I am entering the email address correctly and that the confirmation email is not being trapped by my spam filtering service. I use spamhero.com as a filtering service - my DNS MX records route all incoming email through their servers first. There is a dashboard there I can access via web browser that allows me to see both all email that they have filtered/trapped, as well as all email that has been deemed 'clean' and forwarded on to my local email server. There is no validation email showing up in either the filtered spam or the clean email which leads me to believe that it is just not being sent at all.

Hi,

Apparently our DNS is being a jerk and is unable to resolve the mx for garrettfamily.us.

The problem is on our side, I'll get it fixed and let you know.

Hi Robert,

We've checked and everything looks OK on our side configuration, networking and firewalling-wise, yet as mentioned we cannot resolve the MX for your domain.

Is it possible our DNS/network is somehow blocked/firewalled from the DNS server for garrettfamily.us?

our DNS IP addresses are 91.189.90.2 and 91.189.90.142, all in this IP range 91.189.90.0/24.

It's not routing, as I can ping the nameserver IPs from the firewalls in the DNS resolvers' paths.

garretfamily.us's DNS just won't accept DNS queries from us (also confirmed from servers in two different DCs).

Weirdly, they will accept queries from my laptop - but not from my personal linode.

I can't vouch for this free web DNS check service, but it does show several failures for this domain, and none for any of the others I tried:

https://dnschecker.org/?#MX/garrettfamily.us

I'm pretty sure this isn't an issue on our end.
