Bug Description

English is not my native language. So I use/copy some parts of a previous bug report by an other user (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/timidity/+bug/1799541).

My ASUS Xonar DX is not detected and not present in the PulseAudio list of sinks (pactl list sinks) or sources (pactl list sources). It is detected by ALSA, as shown by "cat /proc/asound/cards" and "aplay -L".
When PulseAudio is not running, I can also play audio using aplay on the DX card, I can hear the sound, so the sound card is physically working.

This problem appeared after I installed Xubuntu 18.04.1 side by side of Xubuntu 16.04.5.
The card is recognized and work perfectly when I boot in Xubuntu 16.04.5.

Hello,

This project is only for issues with the Ubuntu One Single Sign-On service, and the problem you describe does not seem to be directly with the sign-on service. Further, the problem you describe is not a bug but probably a support request, so here are some pointers for the correct places to get help:

If you need help with general Ubuntu issues you have two main choices.

The first is to rely on free support provided by the Ubuntu community. For this please visit https://www.ubuntu.com/support/community-support or post your questions directly in http://askubuntu.com/ or https://ubuntuforums.org/.

The second if you're looking for commercial-grade support, is to check out Canonical's support offerings for Ubuntu at https://www.ubuntu.com/support.

I hope this helps you find a solution to your issue.

Regards,

- Daniel

Thank you for your reply. I'll forward my issue to the community support
pages.

Best regards,

Lucie
