Bug Description

Before SSO became mandatory, I logged on to Ubuntuforums with my username (frankvw) and password. Now (after not having used the account for quite some time) I'm logging into an UbuntuOne account with my email address and password (the same ones associated with the account before), but then I'm taken to a "personal details" page where I need to enter my user name. However, when I do that, the system claims that user name is already taken. Yes it is; it's mine! My posts are still all over the forums! (Here's one: https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=977332 but there are tons more).

Yet I can't reclaim my account with the user name associated to it?

Please note that the username in login.ubuntu.com is different and unrelated from the one in the ubuntu forums. What you're seeing here is that someone else registered a login.ubuntu.com account and chose "frankvw" as their username.

So this is really no bug in login.ubuntu.com, but in order to get help with your problem (which as I understand would be linking your ubuntuforums account with your SSO account), please read this to see how to contact an ubuntuforums.org administrator.
