Password policy is not mentioned on login screen, only on password reset form

Bug Description
The minimum length for my Launchpad login password is 8 characters which obviously restricts the set of possible passwords I may use.
This restriction is not mentioned on the login page, so I frequently guess a couple of passwords that are incorrect and disallowed by the policy.
It would be good to see the rules for passwords at the login screen to help jog my memory as to how I concocted the password.
