2fa prompts too frequent, on guest account for example

It's my understanding that 2fa should prompt only once in an 8h period.

In my job I am frequently testing and reporting bugs in launchpad under a guest account on numerous computers. I get prompted for my 2fa auth multiple times in the working day. It's frustrating, slows me down and doesn't fit the spec of 'once in an 8 hour period'.

Assuming you haven't been prompted recently:-

Logout of launchpad.
Login to launchpad, to trigger 2fa.

Switch to a guest session
Run "ubuntu-bug unity" (or anything you have installed)
Follow prompts
In the browser login to launchpad.
Get another 2fa prompt.
