Bug Description

When trying to login from Opera, an error page appears and I'm not logged in. It seems impossible to use Ubuntu online services from within Opera.

This happens for any site that uses SSO (I tested launchpad, Ubuntu One, Music Store).
Ubuntu 12.10
Opera/9.80 (X11; Linux i686; U; de) Presto/2.10.289 Version/12.02
Language: German

In addition to that, the error message makes language-wise no sense and appears rather unfriendly under these circumstances:
"Ihre Seite war abgestanden." = "Your page was stale."
I assume this was meant as a joke, but the joke didn't survive through translation, and it sounds rather erroneous than funny.

Had same problem. enabling "send referrer information" fixed it for me.

Yup, I can confirm the issue and the solution.

I've reported several times in 2012 that logging in to Launchpad doesn't work in Opera. Today I discovered that I get the
"Your page was stale.

Apologies, the page you came from was a little old. Perhaps you navigated here from a browser window other than the one you used to login. If so, try using the other browser window. Or, try your action again, starting from our home page."

error when I disable 'Send Referrer Information' in Opera. After I enable this logging in works fine.

It would be helpful if Launchpad included this info in the "stale page" message.

This Problem doesn't only happen with Opera. You get the same error when you disable the referer in Firefox and try to log in.
about:config -> network.http.networkRefererHeader = 0

Some people (me included) have this set as a privacy measure. In fact I use this setting for years already and Launchpad is the _only_ website I found that has a problem with it.
