ubuntu 17.04 unity8
, i think this app in preinstalled? if not install and just run it, UAL will launch it with Xmir.
if you see just a black window try to resize the window, sometimes it does work and you see the content, try to click on some buttons, the GUI doesn't work

That's strange. It's running perfectly for me (also under Unity8 with Xmir).
