Bug Description

I see these lines with VERY HIGH frequency in /var/log/syslog:

Apr 17 06:17:01 ubuntu-phablet kernel: [23390.162827] (0)[17343:kworker/0:0][ALS/PS] als_get_data 1962 : als_get_data *value = 10, *status =2
Apr 17 06:17:01 ubuntu-phablet kernel: [23390.172843] (0)[17343:kworker/0:0][ALS/PS] als_get_data 1962 : als_get_data *value = 10, *status =2
Apr 17 06:17:01 ubuntu-phablet kernel: [23390.182819] (0)[17343:kworker/0:0][ALS/PS] als_get_data 1962 : als_get_data *value = 10, *status =2
Apr 17 06:17:01 ubuntu-phablet kernel: [23390.192814] (0)[17343:kworker/0:0][ALS/PS] als_get_data 1962 : als_get_data *value = 10, *status =2
Apr 17 06:17:01 ubuntu-phablet kernel: [23390.203703] (0)[17343:kworker/0:0][ALS/PS] als_get_data 1962 : als_get_data *value = 10, *status =2
Apr 17 06:17:01 ubuntu-phablet kernel: [23390.212825] (0)[17343:kworker/0:0][ALS/PS] als_get_data 1962 : als_get_data *value = 10, *status =2
Apr 17 06:17:01 ubuntu-phablet kernel: [23390.222821] (0)[17343:kworker/0:0][ALS/PS] als_get_data 1962 : als_get_data *value = 10, *status =2

These lines stop when I switch-off "Adjust brightness automatically" in System Settings. Together with it one can
see in top one of the kworker proc running with 16-20% CPU usage, maybe due to the sysloging itself for the
above lines.

As well, when I power-off the M10, I see also with HIGH frequency:

In general I think, the M10 never goes to suspend and drains around 5% per hour from
the battery while it is unused/switched-off.

The second part of the bug description is not a duplicate of #1573469. Maybe we should file a new one for the 2nd part?
