Chinese characters are shown in a heavier weight than the ones provided by the Ubuntu font

Description:
Ubuntu touch shows Chinese characters in bold always

Reproduce Steps:
    a) Launch Settings
    b) Select 中文 as "Display langua..."
    c) Observe the Chinese characters after reboot
    d) (Observe the WiFi scan APs which includes Chinese characters)

Expected Result:
The Chinese characters must have normal fonts and bold fonts, ...etc.

Actual Result:
Ubuntu touch only shows Chinese characters as bold.

10/10 (100%)

This affects all devices actually. Not only Mako. Just take it for example.

Ubuntu touch fonts.conf could be checked as well,
    /etc/fonts/fonts.conf
for such the case in step d) no any translation need for scanned SSIDs,
I assume the string is parsed from lower layer according to fonts.conf.

Does this only happen in the wifi display? Is other content displayed normally? and has this changed recently or is this a day one issue?
