Support for "supergroup"

Now when a group becomes a supergroup you receive a message like this:

This group was converted to a supergroup by the administrator. Please update your Telegram app to continue chatting here. [Link to download last client version]

And no longer receive more messages or notifications, and also you can send more messages.

Hi,

Ubuntu Telegram is a QML application based on the open source: 1. libqtelegram-ae 2. TelegramQML

This libraries do not support super group features yet. We are talking to them to have a date o their next release (that does support this fearure) but we don't have yet information on when it's gonna be.

Once they release this feature, we can rebase the code and add the UX parts necessary to support it as well.

We're sorry for the delay in the meantime!

Is it fixed? It's still not working on my Meizu Pro 5 and most of my telegram groups are supergroups so it's very useless for me.

@jin did the new upstream code get included in the latest update?

Hello @Pat,

Not yet, the latest update was with stable revision of upstream code,
does not have such the function support.

But we don't have further plan on porting upstream into the project for now,
due to some alignments of the goal of this project now we are running the snap.

Now there is an alternative which is so-called the "telegram-latest" snap,
it is useful during the time and I will have a check to verify its super group function,
anyway, I will track and monitor this issue if anything I got.
