Bug Description

I want to set my phone to UK time, so I go into time and date (or on initial setup of the phone) and try and find my time zone. I search for "UK" then "GMT" then "BST" then "England" then in an attempt to find a list of zones I recognise I search for "UTC". None of these return any results. It is asking me to put in my current location. I try "Farnham" "Surrey" and those don't work (apart from the Surrey in British Colombia Canada). What it wants is a nearby city, Guildford or Reading work, as does London (there are more Londons than you think in the world).
This really isn't a good list of things to offer when someone is trying to select their timezone.
Firstly it should guess from the GPS longitude, then offer a list of recognisable time zones (Guildford is not a timezone)

Ultimately we will determine timezone automatically using NITZ but until then we could easily improve the search capability.
It seems we are not searching the entire string just matching from the beginning only.

i agree. For testing I've tried "morea" "tahiti" "polynésie"
and "espa" for espana and a part of them and nothing was found.
Thanks
