Bug Description

After OTA-7 update the GPS was working fine... But now after OTA-9 I am in the same situation like before OTA-7.
Is there any other bug where I can send log files and other usefull files to help with this bug? It's very annoying not to have GPS...after I have it.

There is something wrong with OTA-9 and GPS: there is no GPS on/off button under Location after upgrade. Button is missing now and GPS does not work.
BQ Aquaris E4.5, Ubuntu 15.04 (Ota-9). You can see in screenshot.

Thanks for reporting this issue.

The GPS option in the indicator has been removed on purpose. Refer to bug 1351299 for rationale.

@bogdanke8, did you retry the procedure described by bq support in your previous report (bug 1442105) If so and it is still not working could you follow the instructions below and attach the logs and debug information.

Thanks.

Although, I do have the activation button on the drop-down bar and it is checked, but doesn't work still. No application seems to be able to use, despite permissions being on.

I was able to get my GPS working when enabled in both settings and battery
configs.

Is the GPS activated in the battery menu?

I think the bug isn't on the GPS itself but in the top screen switch, that doesn't actually activate it.
I say this comparing with the behaviour on the rc: when I activate GPS it get's activated on the battery menu.

I activated GPS from Battery Settings and location... and sometimes it works and sometimes doesnt work... Thatțs why I reported this bug... Before OTA-9 I didnt have cases with not working.. But now maybe I need a reboot, or something to make it work..
