Bug Description
os: ubuntu touch 15.04 stable channel r25(OTA6), fully updated, no r/w mode
device: BQ 45E(Krillin)
bug: starting this morning, I found that my browser (the default ubuntu-touch one) crashes on startup. All i see is the spinning startup wheel. Then nothing. I am again on the apps scope. Then i found that this is also the case for the Liri browser and Dekko (The difference for Dekko being that it doenst crash. But it neither starts. It just keeps spinning the app startup wheel).
All other webapps and apps that i have tested continue to work fine.
First i tried a reboot but the same behaviour remains.
Then I noticed that i was low on diskspace(
on irc I consulted jgdx. He had me verify that I had indeed enough space with df -h
The output for that is here: http://
Then we looked logfiles for the browser app and unity8. They are here:
http://
http://
Attached is also the .crash file for the webbrowser from /var/crash
Any other info needed, let me know

Could it have to do with a corrupted QML cache for webbrowser-app?
@Mathijs, can you try the following:
- on the device, issue the following commands:
cd /home/phablet/
tar cf webbrowser-app.tgz webbrowser-app
rm -rf webbrowser-app
Does that fix the browser? If so, can you please attach the file /home/phablet/

Thanks for helping Olivier. But no such luck. That did not change anything.

Unfortunately the crash file is not usable, the stacktrace is corrupt.

@Mathijs: would deleting the browser’s history database help? Try doing the following, on your device:
cd /home/phablet/
mv history.sqlite history.sqlite.bak
In case it fixes the problem, I’d be interested in taking a look at the history.sqlite.bak file to understand how it got corrupted (note however that it contains sensitive information such as URLs you visited, number of visits and last visit date, so I’d understand if you’d rather not share it with me; if you do I’ll treat it with the utmost confidentiality of course).
If that doesn’t help, you could also try the same manipulation with the following two files (which are located under the same directory): bookmarks.sqlite and session.json (try one at a time). The same remark applies: if by chance that fixes the issue, I’d be interested in getting my hands on the corrupted file if possible (they do contain sensitive information too).

For me, removing /home/phablet/
I could send webbrowser-

In my case it's E5 with OTA-15.

okay to add some info: (FWIW) my gut feeling says it does have to do with available space. Even though i have reclaimed more then enough space for the system to be fully functional, some parts seem to not be seeing that..
For instance, an additional symptom i now have is the Gallery not being able to create icons. all pics show the default icon(a grey musical note)
