Facebook Videos Don't Play/Display

Videos posted on facebook just appear as a static picture on my MX4. Is there possibility of getting these videos working?

It is unexpected that you need to go into a new app to play them, it seems to launch an additional webapp-container

Maybe just use the Facebook app developed by Mitchell Reese as the default app. Its much better in every aspect. I've been using it full time instead of the default one.

The bottom navigation system works really nice!

I tried various video types on my wall, from Youtube & Vimeo and they all played correctly in the window overlay.
The fact that they open in a separated app is an indication that the overlay mechanism gets confused and ends up url-dispatching the link outside of the Facebook webapp. I don't think the alternative webapp is any different in that respect, unless it disables the popup overlay.

To move forward, can you share examples of content at public Facebook URLs exposing the problem you mention?

I'm talking about shared videos which appear in your feed, they 100% have been appearing as static images. If you look at the reviews of the app many people already mention the fact it can't play videos.
