Please add more codecs for media player....like VLC..for exemple....

This bug report mixes codecs (WMV, MPEG-4 AVC) with container formats (MP4, MKV). The media player app on the phone should already support at least MKV and most of MPEG-4, I have never checked ASF (the default WMV container) in detail.
Would help a bit if the original poster added some links to example files that currently don't play, otherwise it's not easy to say what's the exact problem.
