Trying to reproduce this, it seems that if you have utorch open, the camera has no access to the flash.

To reproduce:-

* Open utorch, test that you can turn the "torch" on and off
* Swipe away, open camera, swipe up, notice missing flash icon
* Close utorch & camera
* Open camera - notice flash buttons are back, and flash can be used again.

another thing, in the camera app there is no flash icon now and i see a black screen (the UI is visible, sans the flash icon)

I thought the camera device was released when an app went to the background

Similar thing here with Ubuntu 15.05 r2 and I don't have uTorch installed.

(this doesn't always happen) but:
Open camera app
Camera will focus
App freezes for a few seconds
Returns to normal
Flash doesn't work with either on/auto

In my testing, the flash will usually work until/unless I open the camera app, and then it stops working for the rest of the boot. uTorch works fine each boot until after the camera app has been used.

I could get same problem from krillin all the time(100%) as well by following #1.
