I can't comment on the spec document as of now.

I guess you will add the 'umount' / 'format' button somewhere there in the future !?

this is part of larger Storage Framework discussion that is in progress. If we are looking for a shorter term solution in time for an ota, I'd recommend we fix the current SD card storage app and make it look and act correctly
