Bug Description

Hi!

I compared the BQ E4.5 & MX4 cameras with more phones, like BQ E4.5 Android, Nexus 4, Galaxy ACE.

The Ubuntu camera has ~1.2 zoom more. You can see it better with near objects.

Example BQ 4.5 Ubuntu & Android together:

Thanks in advance!

I have made a test with two bq Aquaris E4.5 phones, one of them with Android and the other with Ubuntu Touch.

I attach two pictures made from the same distance where it is shown this bug.

We are using the full digital zoom range of the camera as reported by the hardware.
Maybe for some reason Android chooses to limit itself to less than the full zoom range, but I don't see why we should do the same.

If this causes any problems to you, can you please explain what problems ?

Hi! :)

Same in Meixu MX4 and BQ E4.5. Coincidence?
I had a few Android mobiles and this is the first time that I have this problem.

It's not about problem or not problem. The camera should work perfect
;) Even more when the camera is an important factor to buy a
smartphone.
I think this issue is affecting the images quality too: bug #1442670.

Best regards!
