binary installer should use /usr/local/bin for links

Bug Description

The from installs everything in /opt but then goes on to make soft links in /usr/bin. This messes up package management systems in that it overwrites any files from normal package installations. It should rather make these links in /usr/local/bin which by convention is out of reach for package managers like dpkg and rpm. BTW, /usr/local/bin has precedence over /usr/bin in standard PATH. man pages should also go to /usr/local/man.

Since you should not be mixing the binary installer with a package from a
package management system, I don't see what actual problem putting links in
/usr/bin causes. Given that, I do not want to change the behavior of the
installer for no good reason.
