In that case I really dont have any other ideas. Note that it wont be your firewall, per se, that is blocking things it will be some software that keeps track of programs opening SMTP connections and blocks them if it detects "too many conections".

I'll change the code to allow you to kill email jobs, but as to why the job is hanging in the first place...
