(MacOS) Can't open PDFs or "open book folder" if Title contains "[" or "]"

Calibre Version 8.1.1 on MacOS 15.3.2

If I want to open a PDF directly from calibre nothing happens if the Title field contains either "[" or "]" (i.e. square brackets). I'm also not able to open the folder containing the files, neither be right-clicking and selecting "open book folder" nor by pressing "O".

Opening epubs by clicking on the book entry opens the calibre reader just fine. However, opening the file-folder also won't work.

Everything works fine (both PDF and epub) if no square brackets are present.

This is a bug in Qt that will be fixed when the version of Qt shipped
with calibre is next updated.

Fixed in branch master. The fix will be in the next release. calibre is usually released every alternate Friday.
