Bug Description

The Piper TTS voice does not stop adequately after a period (.). Need a more significant pause after the end of a sentence (marked by period).

That's very much a matter of taste. I feel the stop is quite significant
enough. Maybe someday I will add an option to increase it, but it's not
a priority for me, patches welcome.

Fixed in branch master. The fix will be in the next release. calibre is usually released every alternate Friday.
