Bug Description

Can't connect my Nook Glowlight 4e to Calibre. When I run the debug it thinks that it might be a Nook Color. See debug log below.

Yes, it appears as H: drive. With Windows Explorer, I can see that there is a Nook folder but no other files either in the root directory or in the Nook directory. I have tried rebooting the PC & the Nook a couple of times. Running Calibre version 7.7. I tried wizard setup three times, selecting a different hardware each time. Not one of the three options allowed connection to the Glowlight 4e. I can still connect Calibre to my old original Nook Glowlight. Just got the 4e as Barnes & Noble will no longer support the original Nook after June 2024.
Based on suggestions found online, I copied the Calibre files directly into the Nook directory using Windows Explorer and can now read the books with the 4e. I would like to be able to use Calibre to move files back & forth like I did with my old Nook as it has so many advantages for maintaining my book library!
Thanks for your time looking into this. I imagine there will be a lot more people switching to the new 4e Nook due to the lack of upcoming support from Barnes & Nobles.

The 4e works fine with calibre in general. This is something specific to
your machine/device. Basically calibre is unable to get the drive the
nook is on (H:) from windows. You can try resetting the nook or
alternatively you can use the connect to folder function in calibre to
connect to it.

Good news. I loaded Calibre onto my laptop and the Nook Glowlight 4e connected straight away. I loaded several books onto the Nook using Calibre and can now successfully read them. I then took the Nook back to my desktop PC that wasn't able to see the Nook previously and now it works fine. I'm not sure what changed other than putting some books onto the Nook with my laptop.
 Thanks for your support!
