small problem in edit-mode

    In edit mode if I want to edit a sentence with <i><sup>, the <i> is placed at the end of the sentence, but the ^{is immediately closed with} and not at the end of the sentence

I dont quite follow. What exactly are you trying to do? Can you post a more complete example along with a set of steps to reproduce the problem.

    I also use caliber to edit pieces of text from Word and/or PDF files
into books that I can use.

    If I want to adjust the text below with "bold" and "italic" this is the
result

    So I have to select the same text twice, once with "bold" and the
