Bug Description

Version 6.29

To modify the date of a book, you must enter the day after the date entered.

Does not replicate for me. Steps I tried:

1) Select a book
2) Click edit metadata
3) Enter the date 23 Oct 2023
4) CLick OK
5) Date remains 23 Oct 2023

This is in GMT+5:30 timezone

Changed in calibre:
status:	New → Invalid

It's true when a single book.
Not when many.
