Bug Description
Calibre 6.99* (beta), suspect it might also affect earlier versions.
Steps to replicate:
1. Have several sorts active on the book list.
2. Right-click a non-active VL and click 'Edit.' Then press 'OK' to save.
3. The book list will then re-sort to Id (ascending), which was not expected.

Fixed in branch master. The fix will be in the next release. calibre is usually released every alternate Friday.
