Similar to this ==>> https://bugs.launchpad.net/calibre/+bug/2036860 -- which was implemented by someone (chaley ?). But for long text columns, copy the __content__ (i.e. the HTML or markdown), not the rendered text.

The rendered text can be selected and copied in Book Details, which puts the HTML in the clipboard. However, on Windows at least, it's quite hard to get a precise copy with a mouse. And, for anyone with dexterity problems it's a PITA.

This is not worth the effort for me personally. If some one else wants to implement it, I will be happy to supply any needed guidance. If so, re-open the ticket and we can discuss it.

Note you can already right click and copy all book details which copies
as both plain text and HTML.
