Searching for punctuation freezes the e-book viewer

Bug Description

The search feature in the e-book reader normally ignores punctuation such as ", %, etc. However, searching for a string consisting only of such characters is not treated the same way as having entered nothing. Instead, it throws the e-book reader into an infinite loop where it returns thousands of identical results and stops responding – perhaps actually searching for an empty string and thereby never advancing?

The bug is extremely easy to reproduce, with apparently 100% reliability:

1. Open any e-book in the e-book viewer
2. Search for %

This is with Calibre 6.15.1.

I'm no stranger to seeking expert assistance for my assignments. Recently, I found myself in a situation where I needed help with a criminal justice project, and that's when I discovered the service https://assignmentgeek.com/criminal-justice-homework.html . I thought, "Why not give it a try?" The expert they assigned to my project was not only incredibly professional but also delivered a well-structured and cohesive assignment. I'm genuinely thankful for the support I received and wouldn't hesitate to recommend these professionals to all students.
