Bug Description
I would really love to be able to display a calculated text column in the Book Details pane like Comments or a custom Long text column (so, with a dropdown select for "Column heading" like in the custom Long text column configuration).
Right now I use a calculated text column with a python template plus the Entities Manager plugin to grab entity links or notes that meet certain criteria and display them as html in the Book Details. Even if I weren't using the Entities Manager plugin, I would still need this as I would still use a calculated text column (for example, grabbing the comments from the first member of a series that meets certain criteria). I'm trying to reduce redundant data entry for records that are essentially the same since Calibre can't handle multiple files of the same format in one record, and I have that happen with most of the books I own. I also like to use html lists, tables, etc. to organize the data, but it's awkward to have those on the left with other, regular fields.
Not a bug, but will still say: I'm using Calibre 6.13 on OSX.
Changing the component for this bug.
