enhancement request regarding add from isbn

It is now more often that I cannot dwonload a book and therefore like to add the book as an empty book with proper metadata. There are several option to do that.

Sometimes I know only isbn10 or asin.
This works as well very good in the metadat-edit dialog.
But as I have to create books from scratch, I tried to use the dialog "add book from isbn". That dialog only accept isbn13.

The dialog add-book-from-isbn will accept isbn10 and asin and works similar to metadata-edit-download.

hmmm, I tried today again. It seems that isbn-10 works as well similar to metadata dialog.
It seems I was not patient enough.

Nevertheless I like to ask whether it is possible to add ASIN as well.

There is no limitation on ISBN-13 only. You can use ISBN-10 or 13 both
are passed to the metadata download system. There is no support for
identifiers other than ISBN however. Those could technically be added,
however, it's a fair bit of effort so not high on my priority list.

Fixed in branch master. The fix will be in the next release. calibre is usually released every alternate Friday.
