Bug Description

Platform: Calibre 6.7
OS: Windows 10

For epub files/books, when using the E-book viewer and the active color scheme is one that has a non-white background, like "Black" or "Sepia Dark", or a custom scheme that you have created with a black or other dark background color, if you then click "Show book metadata" button, the color scheme changes to light grey background, and the metadata comments always appear with a white background with light grey text [which is hard to see], instead of the current dark mode color scheme.
When you click "X" to close book metadata view, the color scheme goes back to the dark scheme
Not conducive for night reading, when you do not want that bright screen.
See attached PDF of screen captures showing what the viewer looks like, before, during, and after viewing book metadata.

Thanks.

I am completely frustrated with the sudden brightness of the screen when using dark mode in the Caliber e-book viewer. It's very annoying, especially when you read at night. I faced the same problem and it completely breaks the reading process. I remember how once I was overloaded with tasks and needed a break from constantly switching the screen. Then I was even forced to use https://essays.edubirdie.com even though I was always against it. Professionals quickly completed the task, but I did not learn anything new. Hopefully Caliber will address this in an update soon, and in the meantime, let's keep sharing tips to improve our reading experience!
