Bug Description
Using latest calibre 5.39
If search-as-you-type is enabled, and you type a query and confirm it before the search-as-you-type triggers, I think it still triggers. It shouldn't happen. If no change was made to the search since confirming it manually, search-as-you-type should not refresh the search results.
I didn't look at the code for confirmation, but here's one piece of quirky behavior that I think it causes:
1) In the book list, type a search that yields nothing. Confirm it quickly. The result list of 0 will appear, and an empty cover will pop up in the cover preview.
2) Wait a few moments doing nothing. The "empty cover appearing" will animate again.

Fixed in branch master. The fix will be in the next release. calibre is usually released every alternate Friday.
