Bug Description
Currently, Calibre has 2 hotkeys:
1. [Q] - Quick highlight in current style
2. [H] - Highlight selection
Both are time-savers.
Unfortunately, it is not optimal when using more than one color/style. If I need to use another style (from the current one), this is what I need to do:
1. Select the text.
2. Press [H] or move my mouse to the Highlight Selection button and press it.
3. Navigate my mouse cursor to the new style/color I want to use.
4. Click on the mouse button to select it.
5. Navigate my mouse cursor to the Create button.
6. Click on the mouse button to select it.
This is redundant, especially with all the mouse movements.
Fortunately, in the Settings (Selection behavior) I can choose to add my favorite colors as dedicated buttons in the selection bar. This solves most of the extra hassle.
But what would make the system perfect would be to add a separate hotkey for each of the Quick Highlight buttons.
The suggestion:
1. The absolutely best way would be to have the hotkeys available for edit in the Settings/Keyboard shortcuts.
2. But the almost-perfect solution, that should be quick and trivial to implement, is to simply have the number hotkeys (the first Quick highlight style button would be applies after pressing "1", the second after pressing "2", and so forth).
I'm afraid this is a bridge too far.
