Please make it possible to remove the author from all books in the Manage author window.

There is no method in calibre to remove an author from all books because a book must have an author. You can change it to whatever you like.

Please make it possible to only find the author in the book list so that I can manually remove the authors that are not valid, since you say that bulk removing authors don't work in calibre. When I choose to search for the author in the library by right clicking on the author in the Manage author window it searches the library for everything with the name of the author, not only authors:="the author" as you would expect.

Fixed in branch master. The fix will be in the next release. calibre is usually released every alternate Friday.
