Bug Description

I created a .epub file in Sigil, using WebP as images. I attached the link of my file below:

https://mega.nz/file/cJdUwBha#ns0_b7Fy2h7vebsYaOWH_iU8u9uYeCtrJuHraSeM7Y8

I then add this file into Calibre and convert the file into mobi format. After the conversion is completed I read the mobi file and find that the image inside the chapter is missing (The cover image is correctly converted but the image inside the chapter is missing). To access the first chapter, you need to open the TOC and go to the first item inside PART 1.

Thank you very much

summary: - WebP epub couldn't get converted properly

webp is not a valid image format for EPUB 3.0, dont use it.

That said, I can fairly easily have the mobi output plugin
convert these images to png as needed.

Thanks a lot

I tried adding WebP in my EPUB because it is included in EPUB v3.3 and it provides better image quality than JPG.

https://www.w3.org/TR/epub-33/#sec-cmt-supported

In the meantime for compatibility I would use WebP.
