Bug Description
Whenever I try to change a layout setting, especially -control the number of page per screen-, I get errors such as calibre, version 5.8.0

Never had similar problems with older releases of calibre.

Fixed in branch master. The fix will be in the next release. calibre is usually released every alternate Friday.
