Bug Description

Calibre 5.3 (beta), Windows 10 Home (2004), Kobo Aura HD (version 4.24.15676).

Set up a catalog to 'add to library' and 'send to device.' The former worked, but the latter failed with this error:

calibre, version 5.3.0
ERROR: Unhandled exception: UnboundLocalError:local variable 'id' referenced before assignment

I was able to manually send the catalog to the device.
